Falknor’s Needling is a medical procedure used to treat a plantar verruca (warts) by microneedling. The procedure has become a popular treatment method with Podiatrists as an effective treatment for more stubborn warts.

Falknor’s Needling is highly effective and removes both long-standing and mosaic verrucas (clustered warts). Unlike traditional salicylic acid therapy which requires 3-6 weekly treatments, one treatment with Falknor’s needling is often sufficient for 80% of cases.

How does it work?

The goal of needling a verruca is to create tiny injuries that trigger the body's immune system to attack and destroy the wart. A local anaesthetic is used to numb the area, and then a podiatrist will use a fine needle to prick the verruca several times. After the procedure, a small dressing is applied to the area.

When is it appropriate?
